Alternative to Shipmondo
For companies in the Nordics and Europe shipping more than 100,000 parcels a year.
Last updated 10 August 2026.
Shipmondo is a good piece of software for webshops that want to handle freight themselves. If you have passed 100,000 parcels a year and the system is starting to feel like a full-time job, it is not a question of finding a better system — it is a question of whether you should own the problem at all. Homerunner is a single logistics service for companies shipping more than 100,000 parcels a year across the Nordics and Europe.
Platform, carrier agreements, customs clearance and day-to-day operations are part of one agreement, so you can spend your time on the business instead of on the system.
Add direct access to your live freight data through MCP services, and you stay ahead of the business at all times.
Five questions that decide whether a switch is worth it ...
This is what you get with Homerunner
Carrier agreements, platform and operations in one agreement
At Homerunner you are not buying a software licence and building the rest yourself. You get the platform, the carrier agreements and the day-to-day operations in the same agreement, with one invoice and one place to call.
One setup for every carrier
A multi-carrier network without having to negotiate, integrate and maintain every single carrier agreement yourself. We orchestrate across carriers in the Nordics and Europe, so you can switch, combine and add without a new integration project every time.
Customs and customs clearance as part of what is delivered
Cross-border is where logistics costs the most when it fails. At Homerunner customs clearance is part of what is delivered: documentation, DDP and DDU per market, and help when a shipment gets stuck in customs.
Parcels and pallets in the same flow
Parcels, pallets and groupage freight are handled in the same flow, with the same data and the same support. B2B and B2C do not need separate systems, and store replenishment runs alongside the customer orders.
Click & Collect and parcel lockers
Delivery choice has become a competitive factor in checkout. We support Click & Collect to your own stores and delivery to parcel lockers, so your customers can choose the collection option that suits them without you having to build and maintain the integrations. You can also rent parcel lockers from us if you want your own for handovers.
Containers and imports
If you also bring goods in from Asia, Homerunner handles container transport from production to warehouse. That connects inbound and outbound logistics in one holistic setup instead of across two suppliers. From container to the customer's door, all handled in the same intuitive platform.
Support with product depth
Our support is built on a strong mix of people and AI. We monitor your shipments 24/7 to anticipate events that could disrupt delivery, and if something does happen, we send a notification to the recipient. If you have questions about parcels or setup, we are ready to help. You are never on your own with Homerunner.
What does switching take?
A system change has four phases, whichever system you are coming from. We start by mapping your current agreements and integrations. Then comes setting up the new flow alongside the old one. Next is a test period with both systems running to make sure everything works, and finally the move of your full volume.
Integrations to ERP and WMS are typically the heavy part, and we build that into the plan from day one. Our onboarding team makes sure you know the procedures thoroughly before we go live.
Moving to Homerunner can take from around 14 days and up, depending on complexity and any special agreements.
